PsEyeFlow #24 - Prism Reflection (Square Matte Canvas, Stretched, 1.25")
For this one, I drew a great eye which stands out from the circle filled with twirling colours. The eye itself is represented very detailed: transitioning from blue at the middle to red, orange, yellow at the periphery, enclosed by a thick black circle. Soft and curvilinear forms and the combination of pastel shades with a grey marbled background do not challenge the eye’s intensity.
Thus, the gradient within the iris may stand for emotions or consciousness – depth of perception of the world. The background areas with mixed shades of interwining circles may convey a feeling of the fluidity of the process, for instance, the never ceasing stream of thought. This blend gives some ethereal impression which helps the viewers ponder on issues to do with vision and perspective, the rainbow philosophies of life.
The general structure urges people to think about how people perceive the variety of objects and what kind of impact these interpretations can make, stressing that perception is a multimodal layer created by personal perspective.
